Wall finish options
Wallpaper
Available in vinyl, non-woven and fabric-backed types, with textures, damask, geometric, stone and kids' designs. Vinyl is washable and the most practical for Pakistani homes. Best for dry bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms.
3D wallpaper
Printed designs that create depth — brick, stone, floral or scenic murals. Lighter and cheaper than physical panels, good for a single feature wall.
PVC and WPC fluted panels
Slatted panels in wood, black, grey and white tones, often with LED strip lines. Washable, impact-resistant and quick to install — the most requested option for TV walls and office receptions.
PVC marble sheets
High-gloss sheets that look like marble or onyx at a fraction of the weight. Popular for TV backgrounds, lift lobbies and shop walls.
3D wall panels
Gypsum or PVC tiles with wave, diamond or geometric relief, painted and lit with cove lighting. They create a strong headboard or lounge feature.
Which option suits each room
| Room | Recommended finish |
|---|---|
| TV lounge | Fluted PVC/WPC panels or PVC marble sheet with LED |
| Master bedroom | 3D panels or textured wallpaper behind the bed |
| Kids' room | Washable vinyl wallpaper |
| Drawing / dining | Damask or textured wallpaper, wall moulding |
| Corridor / stair wall | PVC panels — resist scuffs |
| Office / clinic reception | Fluted panels, PVC marble, branded wall |
| Shop | PVC marble sheet or panels with display lighting |
Wallpaper vs PVC panels
| Point | Wallpaper | PVC / WPC panels |
|---|---|---|
| Look | Patterns, colours, textures | Slats, wood, marble, solid tones |
| Moisture tolerance | Low — needs a dry wall | Better for slightly damp areas (after treatment) |
| Washability | Vinyl is wipeable | Fully washable |
| Durability against knocks | Moderate | High |
| Wall condition needed | Smooth and flat | Can hide minor unevenness |
| Change later | Easy to remove and replace | Removable but more work |
Why wall preparation matters
Most wallpaper and panel failures in Lahore come from the wall, not the product:
- Seepage and damp — peeling paper, black mould, swollen panels.
- Loose or chalky paint — paper lifts with the old paint.
- Uneven plaster — joints show and patterns go out of line.
- Salt (efflorescence) — white powder pushes the finish off.
Before installation we test moisture, scrape loose paint, fill and sand, and apply primer or sealer. If the wall has active seepage, we treat the source first — see roof waterproofing & heat proofing and bathroom waterproofing.

Combining with other interior work
Wall panels look best when planned with lighting and ceiling. If you are also redoing the ceiling, see our false ceiling contractor page; for full room upgrades, see interior finishing. For a whole-house refresh, the home renovation guide explains the right order of work.
Care tips
- Wipe vinyl wallpaper with a damp cloth — no harsh chemicals.
- Keep heavy furniture slightly away from panel walls.
- Clean fluted panels with a soft brush to remove dust from grooves.
- Report any bubbling early — it usually means moisture behind the wall.
Client checklist
- Check the wall for damp before choosing wallpaper.
- Ask for the product name and code in writing.
- Confirm wall preparation is included in the price.
- Plan TV, switch and LED points before panels go up.
- Approve a sample on your wall in your room's light.
